What is it?

The NZIM Business Challenge is a business simulation where teams or individuals from around New Zealand compete against each other in the running of a fictitious company.

The business decisions made each period are entered into the simulation website, where the computer simulation analyses the effects on the competing companies.

Each round of six periods involves a different business scenario, where varying business conditions are set, the product to be manufactured and sold is determined and national economic trends are followed.

After two rounds the most successful companies go forward to the semi-final and final competitions.

“...all the emotion involved in running a real business without the risks.”

Graeme Greenan, Member of the winning GRD Macraes team.
